Job Coaching
A job coach will be provided to the person while he or she learns their job. A coach will find ways to make the more difficult tasks of the job easier to learn. A coach is with the person during the time the job is first obtained. A fade back plan may be introduced to allow the person to perform their job more independently. The development of natural supports in the workplace is important to the person for participation in personal relationships and involvement in the community. A job coach will maintain contact with the employer for as long as the person is employed. Specific services provided will be determined at the Employment Planning Meeting.
